Frequently Asked Questions
Does the app require an internet connection?
No. DarkParlor is fully offline. Every feature works without any network connection - in airplane mode, underground or anywhere else.
How many players can join an evening?
The app supports 4 to 12 guests per evening. You set the count when building a case and the generator assigns roles accordingly.
Will my cases be lost if I delete and reinstall the app?
Yes. DarkParlor stores everything locally on your device. There is no cloud sync or backup. Deleting the app removes all case files, guests and settings.
Can I pause in the middle of an evening?
Yes. The app saves your progress at every step. You can close the app, lock the phone or switch apps, and return to exactly the same point.
How do I set the difficulty?
Choose Easy, Medium or Hard when building a case. Easy has no false trails. Medium adds one misleading clue per round. Hard adds two per round.
Can I generate the same case again?
Each case is generated from a seed that is saved with the file, so repeating an identical setup with the same salt produces the same case. The Preview screen shows the case before you save it, and you can tap Regenerate to produce a different one.
