DarkParlor turns your iPhone into the host of a murder mystery evening. Set the table, choose the mood, and a full case is written on the spot - suspect by suspect, motive by motive.
Set 4 to 12 guests, pick a venue - Manor House, Speakeasy, Masquerade Ball, Cruise Ship or Carnival - choose a tone and a difficulty. A full case is generated on the spot.
The phone passes around the table. Each guest taps their name, reads their role, motive and goals in private, then hands the phone back. Nobody sees anyone else's card.
Every round opens with a short piece of narrative and evidence cards you reveal by tapping. A timer keeps the table moving. False trails multiply on Hard difficulty.
Each guest names the person they think did it. The culprit confesses, the chain of evidence is laid out, and a scoreboard shows who read the room correctly.
Manor House, Speakeasy, Masquerade Ball, Cruise Ship and Carnival - each with Classic, Noir, Gothic, Comedic or Glamorous tone. Every combination changes the story.
Cases are saved as files you can host tonight or keep for a later evening. Progress is preserved mid-evening so you can lock the phone and pick up at the same step.
Every case is verified before you start: the evidence narrows to exactly one name. If it does not, generate a new one with one tap.
Save names, notes and colours for guests you invite often. Reuse the roster for every evening you host without re-typing.
A configurable timer keeps every round moving at your pace. Haptics and keep-screen-awake are all in a single settings list.
